The excursion begins crossing a forest of beautiful birches aetnensis, and it reaches Serra delle Concazze.
During the itinerary we will stop to visit the cave of Serracozzo, a lava tunnel that was formed during the eruption of 1971. (Helmets and torches will be provided by the guide.)
After visiting the cave, we will continue until we reach a particularly panoramic point on the ridge of Valle del Bove.
From this point you can admire the immense valley with its characteristic extinct craters, lava flows and rock bodies called “dicchi”.
We recommend the use of a gore-tex windproof jacket, a pair
of sunglasses and high mountaineering boots.
Excursions for families and teen-agers. Educational tours for school field trips. Tasting of typical Sicilian foods.
